loud fan for the 2.16 macbook?

Hey there, just a little curiouis if anyone else has noticed everynow and then when the fan kicks in its sorta loud? Granted it is a fan but my old powerbook never made as much noise. And if i am correct the cpu runs hotter on xp than in leopard correct? i usually idle around 50 core 2 and 49 core 1 (using everest) while in xp, and in leopard i usually hit around 39-40 (using smcfancontroller). But yea any input on the fan issue or anything would be nice. Thanks.

Mine normally runs at about 1800 RPM with a temp of 50C oh it's 56C now haha but it's hot in the office today...

Normally if it's over 60 it'll go into overdrive and hit like 4000 or 5000RPM (can't remember exactly...) and yes then it's loud but it doesn't last long...just to cool down the CPU and then it goes back to 1800 (which I don't notice at all)
