Hello,

I own a 2020 MBA with M1 processor, running macOS 11.6.7 at the moment. I have noticed that a process called "syspolicyd" is reading an extremely huge amount of data (circa 1TB per week or even more). Then I decided to update to 11.6.7 but the behavior remained the same. I still haven't updated to Monterey because of complaints claiming that syspolicyd is utilizing 90-100% of the CPU in macOS 12. It would be great if you could help me figure out how to solve the problem and save the SSD.

Best regards!

Reading the SSD isn’t a problem writing is. Your attachments show almost no writes from syspolicyd so there’s nothing to worry about.
