I purchased a mac book at a yard sale, it a newer model with only a usb c port.
as is no power pack. $100. i finally ordered a power pack on ebay and booted it up.It has a log in and use safari web icon. I dont have the password. I went back to the house i got it from and they don't know the pass word. It was something there son had for sale. They were no help.

I remember on my old mac if your forgot your password you had to start over and reload the OS.
But this mac book is more like an ipad
I don't want to end up with a icloud locked macbook ???
If i install new hard drive will that fix it? or is the password on the system board?
thanks fred
