I have a problem with the Messages app on my Mac (10.11.6 El Capitan). I know this issue has been brought up before, but mine seems to be slightly different than what I've found online.
Every time I try to text my brother-in-law in the messages app on my Mac, my text goes to my sister instead. This happens when starting a new thread AND when replying to a text that he sent to me. Even when I can see his text!
I have removed all shared contact info from his card (i.e. address, house phone, etc.) except for their last names. The drop down "to:" shows it going to his phone number, but my sister's Facebook photo shows up on the left-hand viewer (there's no Facebook account linked to his card). It is not a group message.
Please help! I frequently text from my laptop about work and this is a very frustrating issue.
