Bought a new Mac Mini recently.

The first one had a number of silver dots in the finish, seemed like the Space Grey finish was just missing. They are fairly small, but upon researching I couldn't find any posts about it.

Had it replaced, second one just arrived and it has the same issue. Less so, but still there.

Just curious if this common and I shouldn't bother asking for another replacement.

Thanks!

I do not have a mac mini so I cannot tell. But based from experience, the finish should be smooth and even on any metallic products.

Absolutely.

It is definitely smooth, but clearly some color missing.

I've looked around at review images (Macworld UK, 9to5, etc) and have found this issue in their photos as well.

At this point, I think this is just the way it is but chatting with Apple soon.

Getting yet another replacement.

Surprised no one else chimed in here...

Well, technically people might treat it as a small issue so they do not care about it. As long as the product is working, all is good! ?

It's a good thing tho that you reached out to this community. :)
