Hello. My equipment/software is:

Mac Mini with 10.15.7
AKM3210 midi controller (connected to the Mini via USB)
Behringer UM2 audio interface (connected to the Mini via USB)
QuickMIDI (simple MIDI software that makes piano sounds)
Powered speaker (connected to the UM2 via RCA)
Loop pedal (not normally connected to any of the above)

When I was installing the UM2, I created an "aggregate device" as the Mac Mini's sound output device (I can't remember exactly the reason for doing that).

Using the above, I get clean piano sound at the powered speaker.

I want to record the MIDI sounds on the loop pedal. When I try that (either connecting the UM2 output directly to the loop pedal input or connecting the powered speaker's "record out" to the loop pedal input), I do get the MIDI signal at the loop pedal, but it's accompanied by a high-pitched static.

Any ideas on getting a clean signal to the loop pedal?

Thanks in advance.
