I'm trying to install Mac OS X Lion on my Mid 2010 15" MacBook Pro.

When trying to install, it just tells me its unable to download the additional tools needed to install Mac OS. I changed the date in terminal to around August 2011, but it did not help.

Wondering if anyone can help me with this. Trying to install onto a 128GB SSD from a 64GB USB flash drive. Tried reimaging the flash drive, did not help.

Maybe try a fresh download of Lion?

Safari downloads a disk image named InstallMacOSX.dmg. Open the disk image, then open the .pkg installer inside the disk image. It installs an app named Install [Version Name]. Open that app from your Applications folder to begin installing the operating system.

Just tried that, it didn't work. Same problem.
