Hi All,

I have just been working on my lion machine and now need to reinstall the OS onto the drive but i am unable to do so.

I have created a bootable usb to try and reinstall, when i progress to the Apple ID part it throws the "connection failed" bug.

Going into the installation log gives me the error linked in the photo. Any clue what could cause this and how to get around it. It is connected to the internet and I have made sure it can install.

Cheers, Max

You will need to download the full installer from Apple.

In addition the App Store will work only from Mavericks 10.9 and up.
If you haven’t saved your apps for Lion you are most likely out of luck.
But there is always the garden where you can harvest the one or other old app.

Thats where i got the installer from and made it through TransMac on windows

Whats interesting is that the last time i made the installer, nothing changed in the process from what i did earlier today, it worked just fine. Connected with an app store log in no issue.

any ideas?
