Hi, I am a complete newbie to this so I am unsure if I am posting this in the correct place but here goes; I have a Mac Pro 3,1 (early 2008) that has 2 hard drives, 1 hard drive running Windows 10 and 1 hard drive running El Capitan 10.11.6. I had a nvidia geforce 8800 gt that no longer worked so when I went to purchase a new GPU I was told that the nvidia geforce gt 710 would work with my computer. How do I go about booting onto my hard drive running El Capitan? I only am able to boot to my hard drive with Windows.
Side note: I never used boot camp to boot even back when I had the 8800 gt, I'd always press the option key after I would power on my mac pro to decide what hard drive to boot from. I guess what I am asking is how can i get that screen to appear instead of booting straight into Windows now that I have the gt 710 installed? Thank you.
