My Mac Pro (early 2008) 8-core 2.8 GHz is operating normally as far as I can tell. All memory recognized, all fans operating. No weird noises. However the white status light on the front of the case remains lit even when the machine is shut-down. It doesn't blink -- just remains steadily lit. Obviously when the power cord is removed the light turns off.

I've searched all over for an answer to this. Just wondering if anyone knows what this is about.

TIA.
