Hi there,
I have a Mac Pro 5.1 (2010) with a Radeon RX 480 Graphic Card and a Cinemadisplay 30 inch
While using Davinci risolve, now from Time to time the computer glitches und seems to be stuck in a weird square pattern, which is replicated in small where the mouse should be. Additionally the computer sometimes crashes and turns off.
Does anyone know if this is a graphic card problem or from the computer itsel, and is there a way to fix this?
And does this lead to heavier Problems?
Thanks a lot and I’m really looking forward if anyone could help me
Dear greetings
T

This is usually caused by defective VRAM on your GPU, but extremely more rarely could be caused by defective RAM where the frame buffer is stored.

I'd start running the memory test from AHT (or ASD if you have it) to eliminate any defective DIMM on your CPU tray, then if you don't find anything is time to do a RMA with your GPU manufacturer.
