well i got home from work today and both my main machines had restarted. from what i could tell, the power didn't go out. does that mean they both overheated? or maybe a spike in the power current or whatever? the machines are in different rooms

Windows Update? It does happen.
I hope mine don't do that! 5 gpu's running on 2 machines now.
nice! i've now got 6 gpus going, and will have 2 more going when my new parts get here, probably monday.
also, i started to make a spreadsheet of the different video cards, and the best "bang for the buck". still working on it though
6+2 gpu's should get lots of ppd!
A chart with that info would be a big help.
When I got home from work last night one of the gpu's was stalled because I forgot to set the screen to not go to sleep, it must put the gpu to sleep as well. It did pick up where it left off though.
here is what i have so far on the spreadsheet:
card price ppd price/ppd watts price/watts watts/ppd
250 145 6000 0.0242 150 0.9667 0.0250
260 210 7000 0.0300 182 1.1538 0.0260
275 250 7500 0.0333 219 1.1416 0.0292
285 380 8000 0.0475 204 1.8627 0.0255
295 450 14000 0.0321 289 1.5571 0.0206
EDIT: maybe this will be better:
Fantastic work dude! Maybe I shoulda got one 295 instead of 2 275's?? oh well, next time maybe.
math is good for something after all! haha j/k
