Sex and The City had a few Mac sightings, and not just the G3 laptop.

I know the series "Fringe" has been mentioned here before. Well I've started to watch the series for the first times a few days ago (pretty good so far) and couldn't help but to notice a Cinema Display, an aluminum Apple Keyboard and a Mighty Mouse in a scene at Massive Dynamic's HQ (ending scene of episode 3, season 1). Unfortunately there is no way to tell if the Cinema Display is actually connected to a Mac.

From a 1999 1998 episode of Coronation Street: the world's longest running TV soap opera.

I can't identify the model - perhaps the experts among us will be able to name it. :)

PowerMac 6100. There was a small amount of time when I was first married and my PC was stolen that my mom let me borrow this same model. Unfortunately, I was a PC person at the time so I didn't do much with it.

Thanks @eyoungren for the identification and for sharing the personal context.

An expert indeed was able to shed light on this matter. :)

My mom is a retired teacher. She used to teach computer science as one of her classes. So from 1983 to when she retired there were computers that came and went in the house. In the 90s she was all Mac (she had a 7200 I think) so the 6100 being in the house would not have been out of the ordinary.

This would have been around 1998. Can't see it really well, but that's the 6100 in the pic.

*Cats are Daria and Mr. Newman. We got them as kittens, brother and sister, only to find out years later that they had wandered off from a neighbor. Both passed on several years back.

PS. Yes, that is the same gold chair that is currently out in my garage. :)

Ah yes. Arguably the most dreadful, painful PowerPC Mac on the entire planet.

Good catch! I’ll need to re-watch for that scene, because by the look of it, I would have thought this was from the first season after Olivia’s first partner died and MD tried to extract data from his brain.

Spoilers! ?

Sorry. It’s early first season stuff I was referring to and it isn’t spoiling much other than, well, the first episode.

Things get really good beginning with season two and stay that way until the end.

Also, it being a series which ended eight years ago, I hadn’t thought I might be spoiling for anyone here. Thanks for pointing out that I was.
