I have been using astropad with my macbook pro and ipad as a drawing tablet and wanted to know if there was a way to have my laptop stay awake in clamshell mode while I worked on my ipad, so I wouldn't have to have both screens open. Astropad is only able to mirror the same display and doesn't exactly work as an external monitor per se, so my mac goes to sleep when my ipad is plugged in using astropad and there is no way to have it operate in clamshell mode because it doesn't recognize the ipad as an auxiliary monitor. I have tried using duet, but it is too laggy, so astropad is the only software I've been able to use. Perhaps there is a third party software that overrides the mac going to sleep and allows the mac to stay awake while closed?
