There is atleast 38% charge remaining but when I disconnect my power adapter the computer switches off. Its running on the power adapter and I have no Idea what the problem is. Can someone please help?

EDIT:
Took it to the Apple Store and the problem was with the board. They said they had to change the logic board. Thankfully I had Apple care otherwise it would have cost me more than $300. Thank you all for the help.
