If i have an Macbook bought in Belgium do i need an voltage converter if i'm going to use it in NY? or can i just use a thing that lets me put this one in :

and changes it to :

??
or in other words from F-type to A-type.

Actually the question is do i need to have a voltage converter with a macbook?

(sorry for the very unclear written question :p)

The power adapter for laptops will handle 110v - 240v. So all you need is the plug adapter.


EDIT: Skunk is correct. 100v - 240v

No the transformer is rated from 110V to 240V (60Hz to 50 Hz) so all the World's voltages are accepted.

same holds for all other chargers (telephone/battery/etc). Check if it states 110-240V and than you are able to use them in the US.
