Hello,
my new MacBook Pro arrived :)

Should I turn on "File Vault"?
If I remember, that is not good for my SSD, right?

Greetings,
Laura

File Vault is fine. Won't harm the SSD. It means nobody can unlock it through the Recovery OS without your password.

Just be aware that if you have it enabled, you can't use the auto login feature.

Thank you for your reply :).
So, I can not use my AppleWatch or my finger to deactivate the lock screen?

Oh, good lord!

I added my work e-mailaccount "Exchange" to the mail app.
Now the mail app. syncs all my emails from all the years.

I dont find the button "sync only 3 month", like on the iPhone.
