Hi everyone I need your help here.

Recenlty I have opened my MacBook pro-2015 (A1398) and accidentally I've broken the keyboard backlight cable.

I'm asking if can I assembly back my mac without worried about it? I mean if the keyboard is gonna work? I don't want to proceed to close it up and face more issues. I understand that cable is for backlight but can work without it? I'm not worried about the light at all I'm using the magic keyboard anyways.

Thanks in advance,

The keyboard cable and backlight cable are separate so you should be fine. What I do recommend is to make sure the broke backlight cable is not making contact with any other components when re-assembled.

I had an early 2015 13" that my friend took apart to clean. He forgot to re-connect the backlight cable so he left it disconnected with no problem.

Thanks for the advice bud. Indeed the laptop is working with no issues, and I really don't use the backlight hehe.

Again thanks for your help :)
