Macbook Pro vs Air

Hi,

I have 2010 mid macbook pro, upgraded my ram to 4b and running High Sierra. Since i am carrying my mac so much i want to change it with 2015 macbook air. Will i loose to much power? I am only using it for web, office software and minor paint programs, like photoshop or equivalent affinity photo. Thank you,

You'd be fine with an Air, but I'd wait if you can as rumours suggest a refresh later in the year.

If you want portable, try the MacBook - it's a lot better than the Air in my opinion, just with an added cost. However the base MBP is more powerful and similar price... Basically, I'd just hold off on the Airs unless you see a good deal on one, I wouldn't buy a new one from Apple at the moment.
