Macbook screen really messed up.

Hi.
My friends Macbook's screen is really messed up...
When starting up the computer everything looks normal, then about right after the dock load the colors get all messed up.
It look like the contrast just went out of control.
The resolution is the right, its on the default color profile.
When put in 256 colors the colors look right, but of course there are only 256 of them which is no good.
Hopefully someone can help with this...

Does anyone know of an image compressor??
then i can uplaod and post pictures for you.

You think this is a screen calibration issue? As you said the contrast is out of control so it may be the settings.

Go to preferences - universal access and tell us where the slider is for "Enhance contrast."
