But don't forget, as with any laptop, the speed of the hard drive may be a limiting factor with uncompressed 1080p video.

Okey. I play a 2d game so it should work fine then.

It's compressed video I'm wanting to play.

All the video will be going right from the camcorder to my 500gb My Book.
