While trying to resize a partition, it looks like I corrupted my Macintosh HD.

OS X Mojave

Rebooting Command - R, When I look at the Disk Utilities I see the following

Internal
Apple SSD
Apple HDD

Disk Images
Apple Disk Image
OS X Base System

I load the Terminal and run the following diskutil commands

diskutil apfs list

did not recognize verb "apfs"

diskutil list

/dev/disk0
0: GUID_partition_scheme *2.0TB disk0
1: EFI EFI 209.7 mb disk0s1
2: FFFFFFFF-FFFF-FFFF-FFFFFFFFFFFFFFFF 1.5TB disk0s2

I then tried to run disk repairdisk disk0

came back "The partition map appears to be ok"

I have everything backed up on Time Capsule so I can re-build if needed.

When I attempt to restore OS X the original Macintosh HD is missing

Could not find the correct solution in searching on the forum how to correctly repair.

Any help would be accepted.

Thanks

Joe

Hi, I ended up taking the mac to the Genius Bar. Because the Mac was originally installed with El Capitan, when booting up the Command -R, the mac brought up the Internet boot from El Capitan and not from Mojave. In the Apple store they selected the correct Mojave application and was able to run diskutil repairFusion, and that fixed the issue.

Just wanted to pass this along for future reference.

Thanks

Joe

Good to know it.
Would you kindly add the customary "RESOLVED" to the title of your thread.

Thanks Ed, I tried to edit the Title, but there does not seem to be an option? I did add Resolved to the top of the body of the initial message
