MacMail after Big Sur

I finally broke down and installed Big Sur. Everything seems ok......
HOWEVER, I can NOT stand the new look of MacMail!! HOW do I get the earlier version back? I've tried rearranging the task bar, but it's still driving me crazy! It's been over a week and I still can't get used to it...it's awful.
ANY help would be appreciated. I'm attaching what it looks like on my Mcbook Air (that I have not updated yet) and my MacBook Pro where I did update to Big Sur.
ANY help would be appreciated!!! HELP PLEASE!
