What is the problem with Mac Mail on El Capitan and Mavericks? Seems like it should all be pretty straightforward. But it's crashing and I can receive some email but not send any.

MacMail crashing in El Cap, also Mavericks. On 2012 2.3 Mac Mini maxed out.
