Has there been a fix for the problems with the USB hubs and USB A external hard drives? Its ridiculous it has taken this long.

This is a compatibility issue. You don’t get these problems with all such devices.

Anyhow, this is why I prefer more ports on Macs than trying to depend on third party hubs.

I’m currently running macOS 12.3 on an M1 MBP in clamshell mode connected to a Belkin Dock in one port with another USB hub in the other port. All together I’ve got 8 external drives along with an external monitor, a USB eLicenser, and a 2.1 speaker system, plus Ethernet.

What kind of problems are you having? The only issues I’ve seen are after a reboot or log out/in, I’m seeing it take a while to mount the drives, and sometimes I have to bring up Disk Utility and mount 2 of my drives manually. But generally everything is fine.

Basically external USBA drives connected to my anker hub will randomly be ejected and it has only started doing this after the Monteray update

This only happened after this version of mAC OS was released. I had no problems before this and the drives work on my pc just fine. It’s a MacOS issue. There are numerous threads about this after the update.

Volta app for undervolting CPU works great on my rMBP Mid 2015
Did you need to buy a new licence?
My Volta installation on rMBP 13 2014 was working fine until Mojave and now requires a new licence on Big Sur.
Developer doesn't answer e-mails.

Edit: I managed to get it working by erasing everything Volta-related and restoring both app and files from a Time Machine backup of the previously installed OS Mojave.

Which Anker hub and drives? And is hub powered? Are your drives powered or do they rely on power from the hub?

external WD hard drives that rely on power from the hub or computer. the anger hub is the one that has plugs into the two USB C ports on the Mac. I know it's Monterey because I have never had problems before upgrading to it. and there was widespread reports of trouble with hubs and drives when it was released

CCC 6.11 is now released after beta testing

macOS 12.3 introduced a problem that causes Legacy Bootable Copies of the system to fail on Apple Silicon Macs. In earlier beta builds of 12.3, that failure rendered the destination unmountable. In the final release of 12.3, that failure is now innocuous. CCC now ignores the error and completes the task. Please note that we still recommend using this procedure only when making a copy of the system that you intend to use immediately (e.g. when migrating to a new disk, or setting up a sandbox test system). A CCC "Standard Backup" provides a more comprehensive strategy for regularly-updated backups.

Cannot print or create PDF from TurboTax with MacOS Monterey 12.3.1

When I try to Print or Preview my return (both of which create a PDF file first) from TurboTax 2021 desktop with version 12.3.1 of the MacOS on my iMac (2017), TurboTax shuts down instantaneously. When I try to Save to PDF the program does not quit, but no file is created. I had no problem doing any of this 5 weeks ago with Monterey 12.2.1. And now I cannot reprint my 2020 return from TurboTax 2020 either. Six hours on the phone with TurboTax support, including two remove/reinstalls, and no resolution. I’m convinced there is a conflict between the current release version of Monterey and TurboTax. Has anyone else experienced this problem?

I'm on v12.3.1, 2017 iMac, TT works fine for me. I've seen none of the problems you experience. No issue printing 2020 return either. Really sorry to learn you're having these issues. My only (albeit weak) suggestion is to keep at it with Intuit...it's their product.

Any luck on any of the TT or Intuit fora?

Well, one thing has been fixed with macOS Monterey 12.5 ß1. Ever since my upgrade to macOS 12, I haven't been able to get LogiTech Options to log in. Now, with 12.5 I can.

Hi, I just upgrade my workstation into M1.. On previous device I'm using XtraFinder (XF) mostly for Cut&Paste and Command+number to switch (directly) between tabs instead of next/prev tabs one by one (just like browser chrome/firefox/etc), but in M1 I could not use XF..

Is there any suggestion for which apps (that is compatible with M1) and can replace the XF function especially for the Command+Number function?

Thanks
