iPad mini Magazine App page turn rendering

I am considering going with the LTE iPad Mini when it releases in a couple weeks. The biggest pet peeve I have on my iPad 3 is the way it renders on Magazine apps. You turn a page and it takes a second per page turn to clear for reading.

For those lucky buyers of the mini who enjoy reading magazines on it, how is this experience so far?
