iPad Mail App, password reset -- Google mail address

I think I have lost my mind. I know where to go to access the password change Settings > Mail,Contacts,Calendar> Select the existing gmail set-up. I should see Name, email address, description. I expected a fourth line for the password. It is not there. I can't figure out how to update my mail password so that I can receive e-mail on my iPad.

I recall this changing back in iOS 8 and some people bringing up the same thing.
