iPhone Mail: How to select which accounts it checks

Since creating a Proton mail account, mail has stopped working since it can't complete checking.

I'm using the Protonmail app, but I want Apple mail for my yahoo account. It's OK when I install the yahoo app but I want to remove that once I get mail working. I don't mind whether I get Protonmail working in mail, or keep the Protonmail app.
