Is anyone else having this problem, I can't see the option to of "show on lock screen"
I just hate to have to unlock my phone just to check what email I got.

EDIT: nvm the option is set to each account individually now.

I was just going to post this. I am not seeing alerts on the lock screen for emails, nor am I getting banners.

EDIT: I turned the "show on lock screen" off and then back on again.. now all is well. You amy need to do the same.

It never has by default since it was introduced in iOS 5, you have to enable it in Settings->Notifications.

I'm having a similar problem. I'm not getting banner notifications when the iPhone has been locked. Previously the iPhone would show the recent mails in the banner and also state the number of e-mails since the phone has been locked. Now I only get the banners if I get an e-mail and the iPhone is unlocked. Totally useless, and I hope they are working on a fix.

No matter what I do, emails from my work exchange account will not show in the lock screen upon arrival. I never had this issue with ios5. I tried rebooting, re-creating account... After that it appeared to work for one or two emails, then stopped working again. I have to go into the account and refresh to get email. All settings seem to be set correctly. Anyone else continuing to have this issue? Not happy

Email alerts stopped showing up on my lock screen and in Notification Center for no apparent reason. I still was receiving emails and I could hear the beep - they just didn't display.

My AppleCare specialist had me reset my Network Settings and this solved the problem for me. I got to thinking and realized that the notifications stopped working after I installed Onavo Count (https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/data-usage-onavo-count-data/id543547474?mt=8)

She told me that there is some kind of network linkage required for mail messages to populate Notification Center and the installation of Onavo broke the linkage. Resetting my Network Settings corrected the problem.
