Make playlist repeat persistent on iPhone Music app

Hi.

I have a couple of smart playlists on my iPhone 13 (iOS 15.6) and I would like them to persistently shuffle and repeat. The shuffle function is always on, but I have to activate repeat every time I return to Music and the playlist. Somehow ironic ;-)

Tried activating both in the playlist on my Mac before sync, but did not catch. Thanks in advance for any pointers!
