Making a forbidden symbol sign

I wanted to create an avatar with a forbidden symbol (the red circle with a diagonal slash) overlaying it. Any know of a site that can do that, or how to use say Preview or Gimp??

Try LibreOffice
Once it is installed, use the Draw Module. I think you will find every thing you need there.

How about Pages, I just did a real quick test and it worked out ok.
