One of the major annoyances I have with apple music is how it manages albums and how I end up with lots of albums with only 1 or 2 songs that I cannot filter out.

The main scenario I have traced this to is playlists and specifically manually created or imported ones. Playlists added through apple music are fine provided you have the ‘add playlist songs’ option toggled off. If however I import a playlist either using an app such as stamp or just manually in iTunes the corresponding album is added for EVERY song in the playlist. Worse still you cannot then clean these up afterwards as if you remove the album the song is also then removed from the playlist.

Anybody figured this one out? Spotify and Tidal both handle this far better
