For quite a while now I have been plagued with no sound showing up in the system preferences. I have reinstalled Mavericks more than once however the problem still persists. I have attached two screen captures, one show the lack of built in sound in the system preferences and the other shows error messages I get when using Onyx to delete the cache and before reboot I get the attached message. I also got a third error message I missed getting a screen capture on saying apple driver.kext was not loading properly. Unfortunately these issues are beyond my skill set and I am hoping someone here might be able to assist me.

I'm pretty sure you're missing the actual devices there. Either something is preventing the system from seeing them or there's a hardware problem.

Perhaps the Apple Hardware Test should be your next step. Read this Github page for good info on that:
