Greetings all,

I'm having serious problems with airport reception when using the MBP in closed lid mode. The reason for this is obvious -closed lid- but I'm wondering if anyone has found a work around. The wireless antenna is in the lid hinge, so I've tried repositioning the 'book so the hinge is in line-of-sight of the base station, but to no avail.

Anyone have ideas?

How far away from the base station? Sounds like not too far away if you can maintain line of sight.

Is this just at home or also elsewhere? Can you try seeing if you can find a lower interference channel to help, or raise your router output power somewhat?

If none of that works, rather than line of site, experiment with othe orientations to see if you can catch some bounced waves off walls or what have you....
