according to 9to5mac... MBP could be equipped with Core 2 Duo-based Quad Core processors as the processor announced by Intel.

Battery could be problem.... how you guys think?

That would be a "Core 2 Quad" not Core 2 Duo ;)

Core 2 is the branding/architecture, "Solo" "Duo" Quad" indicate the number of cores.

Battery life shouldn't be affected too much.

What would really be the issue is HEAT. MacBook and MacBook Pros can fry an egg as it is. With 4 cores I imagine a MB or MBP could be used as house heater.
