Good Morning Everyone!!

I have a G5 dual 1.8 and I am planning to upgrade the ram. Currently I have 4 256mg memory cards. (2 for each processor.) I wanted to add 2GB more so that each processor will have 1.5 GB available.

Now, will adding a 1GB card to each process have any negative performance impact because the memory cards are different sizes? I thought that I read someone where that all the modules should be the same size.

Thanks in Advance!!

As long as the ram is fitted in pairs they can be various sizes. I just sold my G5 about a week ago and there were 6 x 512 Mb ram modules and 2 X 1 Mb modules fitted ........... no problem :)
