Hi guys

I have this problem with my iMac 10,1

I have a free space and a partition called 'yosemite'. As seen on the picture, I want to allocate the free space but I have no clue on how to proceed. The reason to why there is a free space there is because i had Snow Leopard installed previously . Long story....

Anyway, how on earth should i proceed from here? I ran out of ideas. What i want to do is to add this 'free space' to the 'yosemite' partition.
I have tried to format (Mac journaled) the free space but after doing that it is impossible to extend it to the yosemite partition.

Any ideas?

I don’t think you can merge those. Backup the Yosemite partition. Then repartition the entire drive as a single partition and restore Yosemite to it.
