I have messages synced to cloud and have cleared my iPad stupidly trying to force them to thread together by disabling cloud on iPad, deleting and then re-activating message sync thinking it would pull them back down.
I thought iOS 12 collated under one conversation if associated on the same contact, but they don't seem to for some reason
They are only deleted on iPad and still show on the phone and cloud.
But they are not downloading back into the iPad.
So, is there a way to force a device to redownload the messages and ideally fixing the threading
