I've noticed that the Messages app will completely close shortly after clicking the red window close icon. The little dot under the app in the dock disappears, indicating it is completely closed. I've never noticed this happening prior to Mojave.
The problem with it is that sometimes I won't receive notification badges. And more frustrating, reopening sometimes takes a long (to the point where I think I didn't actually click the icon).
I have noticed other apps are sometimes laggy to open, but Messages is most notable.
