Anyone know why I get a popup on my macbook pro saying "your name was mentioned in this chat" every time I receive a new message on a group chat in Messages even if my name is not actually mentioned? What is this feature supposed to do? If it's supposed to actually let me know my name was mentioned then it isn't working because it alerts me for every single new message even when my name isn't mentioned. If it is just supposed to alert me of new messages on a group thread that I'm in then why doesn't it just say "new message in chat" rather than "your name was mentioned." It's just a weird feature.
I also just checked, and I don't even have the "notify me when my name is mentioned" feature turned on in the Messages preferences.
