Hello,

So I’ve upgraded to a 128GB iPhone from a 256GB iPhone as I decided I don’t really need that much physical storage space due to having 2TB of iCloud and everything being synced/stored in the cloud.

I reduced the space being taken on my old phone, then restored the new phone from backup and everything was fine for the first two days. In the end the phone was showing 113/128GB used, so plenty healthy. So last night I connected it to charging as usual and went to sleep.

Today I wake up and suddenly i’m greeted with an alert that my storage is completely full. Checking settings, it appears that Messages (which are meant to be stored in iCloud) have ballooned drastically to 14.39GB.

Checking my old phone which I still have running on its existing setup, Messages is showing 4.63GB used. The messages appear to be the exact same on both devices (as iCloud is meant to do).

Does anyone have any advice? Thanks.
