I'm on an iPhone 8 with dev beta 4. Not entirely sure if this is a software bug.

I had a slightly embarrassing phone call on Monday where it turned out I couldn't be heard. So I tried with Voice Memos: didn't work either. I tried with EarPods; that worked fine. Continuity with a Mac; worked fine as well (which is pretty spiffy). Today, I checked Apple's suggestions, which gave me the idea of checking Siri. Works fine! As does dictation (the button on the keyboard).

Voice Memos gives me random waveforms, but nothing even remotely based on what I said. I tried both getting close to the front and the back mic; no apparent difference.

So, what's the over/under — is this a hardware issue? A software bug? How do I diagnose further?
