Hey all,

So I feel like something is missing here, I have given my son (7 years old) his own appleid, he's signed into the ipad as him as a family account however on the ipad there is no passcode option to change it in settings..... he's figured the ipad passcode out and I want to change it.

Also since the wife has just got a replacement phone he's now got her iPhone and the same on that I've setup passcode but there's no touchid\passcode option in settings.

Am I missing something?

Goto Settings > Screen Time > Content & Privacy Restrictions. If the Content & Privacy Restrictions is toggled you'll need to scroll down and verify Allow Changes to Passcode is toggled on. Set the passcode and then go back and disable access too it.

If a function is not in the settings then there is a restriction setting blocking access to it (they just remove it from the menu).
