Hi i have a macbook C2D 2.0ghz (closed lid) running a 20" screen. It all works gr8 but unfortunately xp wont use the external screen under bootcamp so had to switch to parallels.

When I run the apps (C++, worms 4, emulators etc) I used to run in bootcamp in parallels they are understandably slower and all I'm wondering is:

If I up my ram from 1gb to 4 will this problem go away or reduce a lot because it looks like this is the only way of getting windows on my bigger display.

Any one with experience in this or any other solutions?

and if loving me is wrong, then by god you do it right. ;)

oh and it should totally run on the external screen.

other than that, it is your ram. I used to have 2gb in my macbook pro and windows ran at native speed in parallels.

Yeah I thought it should work under bootcamp but it just doesn't for some reason and I'm no windows master to fix it.

I have to use visual C++ for my degree so I don't really have a choice on that one but the other windows apps are just for fun really.

Thanks for the swift replies.

LoL hotdamn you deciphered my screen name:)
