Modifying a Shapeshifter GuiKit ?

Don’t know if this is the good place to ask, but anyway Shapeshifter was more used on PPCs i think, so it may be…

I’m looking for a way to modify a Shapeshifter GuiKit theme that I use on a Tiger system. Just want to change the Apple menu logo . I’ve tried using ThemePark, but it seems it can’t edit GuiKit theme files, just Extras.rsrc system files.
Also tried GuiKitty to decompile the GuiKit file, but it hangs and never finishes it...

Is there another way to just edit the GuiKit to make the change ?
Tried looking around, but most theme related sites are gone now.
