Hi guys! Recently, a friend of mine gave me his old 2008 iMac. I've been trying to install Mojave or Catalina with the http://dosdude1.com/mojave/ patcher, yet Finder won't allow me to open the patcher, popping out an error message saying: I cannot use this version of macOS. I also tried using older versions, but none have worked so far. It's been rather hard, as Safari won't work either, so I've had to use an HDD to pass all the installers to the iMac, as the software wouldn't support any other browsers. Another big problem is that I can't, for some reason, factory reset the iMac. I've used command + r and command + opt + r, but it didn't open recovery mode. I'm willing to upgrade the RAM and graphics and change it to an SSD because right now it's useless.
