Mojave killed my printer(s)

The last update / security update hosed both my HP printers , an Envy 120 & an Envy 5030 , any idea when it might get fixed or any work a rounds ?

Oddly all my iOS stuff still works perfect with it !!!

I'd delete any existing printers and try downloading the printer software again...

You don't need to install drivers or printer software on your Mac. Simply delete both printers from printer preferences, then click the plus sign. They will be identified as AirPrint devices and you'll be good to go.

I fixed the problem , it was a network issue - my mac was on 5ghz the printer on 2.4 and the home hub was sending out mixed wifi , turning off 5ghz solved it - phew !!

Thanks for the update. Most routers bridge the 2.4GHz and 5GHz bands into a single network. You might look for such a setting on yours.

Those drivers are for older printers that don’t support AirPrint. The drivers themselves have not been updated in years. Apple fixed the package so it would install properly in Big Sur in December 2020.
