In an effort to reorganize my data, I want to make use of partition / volume / container. Are there any best practices in this regard? I have Mojave and use APFS encrypted. I am asking this because I want to keep OS separate from data and should have ability to reformat / reinstall OS without affecting other partition / volume / container.

With OS in current APFS encrypted (default one that came with my Mac), I create new APFS encrypted partition for my stuffs and then have Container/Volume for data separation. Is this the right move? What do you guys do?

I have MacBook Pro 2018 15" with touch bar - Mojave (latest) installed.

Thanks
