Looks like a good start! I like the nice colors.

Not that it would make a huge difference, but you could reduce the height of contbg.jpg to 1px instead of 5px. It would reduce file size a tiny bit.

It's definitely not necessary, but it woudn't hurt either:D

I saw that file, but can't see it in the final document.

Are the drop shadows elements of a CSS style, or of an image?

Sorry, I am absolutely clueless (but eagerly learning) this stuff.

The shadows are part of your background image on the main content area. There are some provisions for drop shadows in CSS but not enough browsers support them to really use them.

Cool - great. I will look in his image files.

A friend started this for me and had to stop, but this is actually teaching me much better than the books I have been reading because I can see the relation between code and Web site vetter.
