Anyone using Davinci Resolve? I am trying to figure out if it will be happier using a mix of MPX + stock reference card ... or simply having two stock reference cards instead...

My results may arrive later than you expect. I originally had two W5700X MPX modules, and I recently replaced one of them with a 6900XT. when I use both GPUs for export in DaVinci, both GPUs are around 30% occupied. When I formulated to use the 6900XT single GPU, it reached about 50%. The single 6900XT exported a little faster than the dual GPU. My guess is that the W5700X module is limiting the 6900XT. The results might be better with dual 6900XT.

Remove the W5700X it's not needed, unless you need Thunderbolt video support from it. In that case you can use a Belkin DisplayPort > USBC/USB cable. That's how I connect to my dual Studio Displays.

Just wanted to add further testimonial to this....

My Vega II MPX module started giving me issues, first in Windows 11, and then in macOS, see THIS thread for more.

I removed my MPX module completely -- I am using only my RX-6800XT and my machine is running smooth as hell in both OS.

Chuck your MPX if you are not using it.

Is the consensus still to remove the MPX card if you are installing an RX 6900 XT?
Remove it unless you really need thunderbolt video output. The 580X actually slowed down my performance when i had both 6900XT and 580X in the system.
